Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs olive oil
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
  • 800g tin diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbs tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Sautee the onion, garlic and mince in the olive oil.
  • When the mince is brown, add the tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Serve with your choice of pasta. We used Barilla spaghetti, and Ceres Organics Rice & Quinoa Penne for those with wheat allergy.
  • Add fresh or dried herbs like parsley, oregano or basil.

Serves: 4-6
Tip: You can make this type of meal in large batches and freeze.
