Ingredients
- 3 Tbs olive oil
- 500g beef mince
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
- 800g tin diced tomatoes
- 2 Tbs tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Sautee the onion, garlic and mince in the olive oil.
- When the mince is brown, add the tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Serve with your choice of pasta. We used Barilla spaghetti, and Ceres Organics Rice & Quinoa Penne for those with wheat allergy.
- Add fresh or dried herbs like parsley, oregano or basil.
Serves: 4-6
Tip: You can make this type of meal in large batches and freeze.
